Worsham El, CEO & Co-Founder

Worsham El is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Family Trauma Professional (CFTP), and Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F). She is also an Adjunct Professor and Graduate Field Consultant at the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service. With over 15 years of experience, she empowers vulnerable youth and families in various settings, including medical, academic, residential, and child welfare. Worsham El advocates strongly for promoting healthy relationships and socio-emotional development in youth and communities.

El is passionate about educating professionals and caregivers on the impact of complex and historical trauma. She has trained over 2500 professionals and was nominated as a Top Health Care Provider of 2017 by the International Association of Health Care Professionals.

El specializes in resilience, trauma treatment, and the implementation of trauma-informed care. Her Bachelor’s is in Psychology from Loyola University and she received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago. She is trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), and Affect Regulation Competency (ARC).

Worsham El is credentialed as a Level 2 provider of evidence based, trauma-informed mental health services by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
